VFW offers death benefits. 

All VFW members in good standing receive up to $1,000 of Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance protection, underwritten by Securian Life Insurance Company, at no cost to the member. 

If a covered member’s death results from an accident while traveling as a fare-paying passenger in a commercial vehicle, an additional VFW Travel Accident Benefit of $1,500 will be payable for a maximum total benefit of up to $2,500.

All benefits are reduced to 50% at age 75, regardless of age at enrollment.
